No before and afters, sorry. I use bare study paint pot, which is exactly like painterly, except with a little shimmer to it. I use it with all powder shadows and it works really, really well. I have found, however, that it does not work so well with cream shadows. I've tried it with Benefit and Bobbie Brown cream shadows and it was horrible. But for MAC powders, it is fantastic and I wouldn't be without it. And yes, it does seem to intensify the colors.

At least with both MAC and Chanel, which is mainly what I'm using lately for powdered e/s. I use Rubenesque as a base a lot. It's sort of a salmon-y color with iridescent gold, but when I put it on it just blends into my skin & looks sheer gold. I wear it under a lot of different colors & the gold really only shows in pics. As far as a base, it works better than using nothing, but not as well as an actual primer IMO. The color does fade eventually and with some shadows it creases. One day I used Laura Geller Eye Spackle, then applied Paint Pot, then shadows on top.

If you are into makeup as much as I am, then without a doubt you have heard about this little guy many many times before. It is one of the most famous MAC products and there is a solid reason for this. It is incredible! Bare Study is this gorgeous light champagne-y color, which has really finely milled shimmer in it and has nice pearly / frosty finish, which I love. It is a nice cream eye shadow, which can be used on its own or as a base / primer underneath your eye shadows. For the summer I tend to use Bare Study with nothing on top because it feels much lighter and it is hustle-free, which is a must in the hot days. I love how the light catches its beautiful sparkly particles, which makes your eyes pop and you look as if you had some good 10 hours beauty sleep!:) My most recent go-to summer look has consisted of a little bit of Bare Study placed all over the lid, some mascara, blush and a hot, bright lipstick!

Pretty easy and effortless. What I adore about the MAC Paint Pots is that they are super creamy and very easy to apply. I usually use my finger and just swipe across some product on my entire lid and then blend out the edges and I am good to go. These brilliant cream shadows have never creased on me and they stay on seriously all day long! If you decide to wear Bare Study as a primer though then you’ll love how much brighter and more vibrant it makes your eye shadows stay on top. It definitely makes the colors more intense and deep, which I really like when I am going for a more dramatic look. Also, Bare Study is quite pigmented and definitely could be build up a lot.
